Kate Winslet and her director spouse Sam Mendes insist on travelling separately because they are terrified of being involved in an air crash which would leave their children - Mia, Kate's eight-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, and five-year-old son Joe - without their parents. A spokesperson for the couple said: "Where possible, Kate and Sam do prefer to travel in separate planes. It is not always possible but, for obvious reasons regarding the children, they do travel separately when they can."

Of course not, how paranoid would I have to be for that?

I might as well sleep in separate houses, drive separate cars and make sure we never order the same meal at restaurants.

It's beyond paranoid, it's morbid and creepy.

it seems bizarre to think that one of those airplanes will go down. Might as well assume that both of them will and just get on the same flight. If you're destined to die, there's no point in putting it off.
