I liked it, I thought it was good how he had a message of peace yet was still firm about bringing justice to victims of 9/11. And it was nice to see someone in charge who could speak well for a change! Here's the full transcript if you missed it:

Yes I did. He painted a pretty realistic picture of world politics and the economy, promising no quick fixes. It makes a change from the overtly gung-ho speeches I've heard from other presidents in the past.

YEAH.

The writer of his speeches is from my home state.

I liked it a lot.

Not gonna lie, I loss interest about 3/4 of the way through. But that's my own problem. From what I remember of it, it was an excellent speech. His public speaking skills are amazing...a nice change from Bush.

I didn't watch it...

I thought his speech was great! It feels so much different with a new president in office.

No. Not at all.

He was talking about unity between different religions or something, and he said like, "Christians, Muslims, Jews, and ... NONBELIEVERS."
He just said it like he thinks of atheists as a lesser breed of human. Not cool, Obama.

I didn't even watch it. I really don't care what he has to say.
I watched movies all day. I thought it a better waste of my time then hear what a puppet has to say.

Parts of it. It was pretty much like most political speeches.

I don't know why he's lauded as such a great speech giver, he sounds pretty average-politician to me. I react to his speeches pretty much the same way I reacted to Bush's. Some parts good, other parts boring.

He is quite charismatic.

Oh come on, obviously he just meant that as another class of faith. I heard him say that part and he didn't pause or emphasize the word as you did. He was making the point that all religions, and even people without a religion, should work together and be peaceful. Way to miss the point.

Ditto!! It sounds as though you heard it how you wanted to hear it. I didn't hear a distinction being made at all.
