Does it seem like there are a lot more food and product recalls in the past few years than there have been before? Or has it always been like this and it just seems like there are more now?

There's simply less stuff being swept under the carpet, not more going wrong.

Yes, it does seem like but in reality the recalls in the past were not published to the public like they are now.
