“I’ll be honest with you. I don’t think journalists should be anywhere allowed war. I mean, you guys report where our troops are at. You report what’s happening day to day. You make a big deal out of it. I think it’s asinine. You know, I liked back in World War I and World War II when you’d go to the theater and you’d see your troops on, you know, the screen and everyone would be real excited and happy for ‘em. Now everyone’s got an opinion and wants to downer, ah, down soldiers. You know, American soldiers or Israeli soldiers.

I think media should be abolished from, uh, you know, reporting. You know, war is hell. And if you’re gonna sit there and say, “Well look at this atrocity,” well you don’t know the whole story behind it half the time, so I think the media should have no business in it.”

Joe the Plumber thinks journalists shouldn't be reporting from war zones, and should have 'no business' in war matters. Do you agree?

Good journalist are nor biased.

I think it's horrible that Israel won't allow journalists into the Gaza strip, that way most of the reports we get are controlled by Hamas OR by Israel itself. This makes it very difficult to form a proper oppinon on the situation.

No, I don't agree with it. I think that reporters should cover the war but they shouldn't be biased towards one side or the other...Just be neutral.

Al Jeezera has reporters in Gaza. They're having some trouble getting reports out, but the reporters have been there for months.

I see he plans to do about as much war correspondence as he did actual plumbing.

I too am of the opinion that I should be paid for not doing my job. Unfortunately, that's not the way it works.

He was used by the Obama campaign too. McCain's just really ran with it.

Love the fact that he feels like he was alive and knew what he would have felt at the time.

And Bored, even though I agree, it's just a question.

....BUT I haven't seen a good kiki v. bored match in sooooo long. Maybe brockgurl was right; we need some better arguments here, at least in questions.

I think that as long as they don't expect the military to protect them from harm, journalists have every right to be in a warzone.

Would really being a plumber make him less of an idiot?

Reporters have always been in the thick of it. The only difference now is whatever they find out, we know about almost instantly.

And it's the age of opinions, don't you know.

No because unless they work for Al Jazeera, some form of the truth usually gets out and the journalists are the only ones that can do it.
