Most contact lens wearers have had trouble putting them in their eyes at some point - so the idea of putting them on a cat might seem ridiculous.
But that is exactly what the owners of Ernest - a 15-year-old black and white cat -
have found themselves doing.
And from these pictures the elderly moggie looks like he has plenty to purr about after the lens have transformed him from a squinting cat unable to see where he was going...

I don't think it would be a stupid idea.
If your pet can't see and contact lenses work, sure.

I have contacts and I HATE wearing them. They always rub.
I don't think that I would get them for my pet, I mean how would you even know if they were working properly for the pet?

I think glasses would be a lot more practical, if you have an older, lazier cat that is sedentary.

That would be like a daily workout. You would need to be blessed with a patient pet for that, eh?

If the pets welcome them - sure.

LOL no way. My cats wouldn't put up with the nonsense. Just the fact their vision is far superior to mine only makes me believe they still see better than us on their worse scenario.

.. Sure, I would. Not sure my parents would go for it, though. And there would be much difficulty trying to get them in, I'm assuming.

I don't think my cat would really appreciate the gesture. Plus the chances of them being uncomfortable.. you know, when you put them in and they just don't feel right? Or worse, when you sleep in them and they get like, stuck to your eyeball. My cat naps a lot (as do most cats), and I wouldn't want to risk that.
