I would like to see how he has reflected on that time in his life. There's always possibility for a major character change there. You learn from your mistakes. Who knows? He may be waiting for that second chance from his family. Why not give him that second chance? You may learn something beautiful that makes a significant impact on you.
Wow, that situation would make an excellent novel.

I don't much care about my grandparents anyway.

I personally would nver want to meet him, but I agree with snarenathan. He might have reformed over all those years, and since he is 81, he has had a lot of time to reflect on his past. The nice thing to do would be to talk to him. An old man should not die alone. That is too sad.

Not really I mean if he is a child molester it would make perfect sense to not want to know him .

My grandfather has been accused by three of his five daughters of molesting them and I just moved 3000 miles to help care for him and my grandmother, having never met them before.

I wouldn't want to ever hear from him again. I'd like to just put him out of my mind.

I kind of vascillate between wanting to press charges on him in my aunt's behalf and just meeting him. But I'm not sure if I can even find him. I have it narrowed down to Cost, TX or Austin, TX.

Yes. I could forgive them for what they did IF they felt genuine guilt for what they had done.

How do you know he's still alive? And no.

He might be dead. But I have a six sense about this kind of thing. There's a good chance that he's alive.

Search for him.
Once you meet him, you can decide if you want to have a relationship with him or not.
