YES! Even though she's awesome.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 6:14:54 PM EST (GMT-5)
Not really. They're reporting on her, if what they're reporting on is negative, that's no one's fault but her own
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 6:45:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think it is getting a little extreme on some of the things being reported on, but that's an expected response. I guess my question would be where all the reports on Joe Biden where when he was chosen as VP nom?
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 6:46:57 PM EST (GMT-5)
Joe Biden wasn't this unknown, nor did he have all that much to report on.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 6:48:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
Joe Biden is a regular ol' white guy who's been in the game long enough to know how to play. There's not much else to say.

they succeeded with hillary. i hope the same thing doesn't happen to palin.

Actually, the PEJ's study of the primaries shows that Clinton and Obama received the same amount of positive press. McCain had the most negative press.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 7:45:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
but mccain wasn't running against hillary in the primary.

You're kidding!

Anyway, I was responding to what you said about Clinton's press.

I only threw in that bit about McCain.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 7:54:42 PM EST (GMT-5)
it might be true that mccain had more negative press during the campaign process but the media has been sticking it to clinton for YEARS.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 7:55:16 PM EST (GMT-5)
Example?

Yeah, people said that during her campaign. A PEJ study disagrees, though.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 7:56:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
since her husband cheated, people have debated on her character for staying with him. and then when she ran for senate, there was a ton of press about her. then when it was thought that she had plans to campaign for presidency and then throughout her entire campaign.

i hardly think that press on mccain AND obama combined can outdo the negative press about clinton that has been published over the past decade.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 8:00:24 PM EST (GMT-5)
Thank you... I wasn't trying to argue with you or anything. I was trying to get you to be more specific.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 8:02:10 PM EST (GMT-5)
that's fine. i just get frustrated when people attack a candidate's personal integrity for a hard personal (and in no way political) decision.

however, it could be said that hillary stuck with bill because she thought that having him attached to her campaign might help... but that's a whole other story.

People and Clinton herself claimed she was having a rough time with the media, but that's all anecdotal. A study of the press each candidate received paints a different picture, though.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 8:08:29 PM EST (GMT-5)
maybe. but studies can be easily misconstrued or conducted for the sole purpose of obtaining a specific result.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 8:10:29 PM EST (GMT-5)
They can be, but I see neither of those things happening in this particular study. Interesting link, Courtbebe.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 8:20:40 PM EST (GMT-5)
The PEJ is pretty well respected. Plus, each study has a link to the methodology.

I think it's a great site. I'm on there all the time.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 8:29:25 PM EST (GMT-5)
The media's pretty much always trying to hurt everyone.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 8:32:34 PM EST (GMT-5)
Obama is the media darling. I don't personally care for any of the candidates. I am just sick of the obvious propaganda. The sad part is the people in the media ABC NBC CNN to be specific all live in new york around very liberal people so they don't think they are biased. The think they are mainstream.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 8:33:14 PM EST (GMT-5)
Probably. But it they're being honest. She nuts and very snotty.
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 9/4/08 - 8:35:29 PM EST (GMT-5)
They are drilling Palin because they are scared she might actually take enough of the Clinton people. That and they can't attack the republicans for being supposedly Sexist/racist/homophobic.

1. Any Clinton supporter who actually liked her for her politics would stay the hell away from Palin. They're political polar opposites.
2. How does the Palin choice in ANY way show that the GOP isn't homophobic?

Not disagreeing with your general point, but CNN's headquarters are in Atlanta.
