I'm sure everyone has SOME sort of boundary - something that makes them uncomfortable, or they would prefer not to talk about - some just have more than others.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 7/13/08 - 11:02:17 PM EST (GMT-5)
oh yes. i stop at racisim! there just aren't many reasons to go there
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 7/13/08 - 11:06:14 PM EST (GMT-5)
I suppose. I mean, I wouldn't make a holocaust joke around Elie Wiesel.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/14/08 - 3:53:51 AM EST (GMT-5)
I'll laugh at almost anything if it's delivered right. I'll also make jokes about almost anything.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/14/08 - 5:16:48 AM EST (GMT-5)
yes, but they change depending on the people I'm with

like, I try not to make a joke to someone if I know they'll find it hurtful
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/14/08 - 5:27:54 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, I refuse to laugh at stuff that isn't funny.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/14/08 - 6:10:46 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yes. I don't like to offend people when I joke around.

But sometimes I forget that.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/14/08 - 6:23:38 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah, and Sarah Silverman tries too hard to be offensive.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/14/08 - 6:27:21 AM EST (GMT-5)
i think my wife and I or my best friends can joke about almost anything (if it's funny)-the only boundaries are because of people I don't know and what might offend them.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/14/08 - 6:29:37 AM EST (GMT-5)
..I don't find toilet humour funny..
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/14/08 - 6:39:04 AM EST (GMT-5)
I find everything can be hilarious if it's in the proper light, and I can always find *something* to laugh at. So, yeah, I guess not.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/14/08 - 10:11:05 AM EST (GMT-5)
No, I don't believe in '[poor] taste'. If it's funny, it's funny.

I really think though there are just not appropriate jokes
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Wednesday 7/16/08 - 1:40:17 AM EST (GMT-5)
Of course. When it stops being humorous, it is no longer funny.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Wednesday 7/16/08 - 1:46:25 AM EST (GMT-5)
I dislike scatalogic humor, unless it's done by someone wearing a tuxedo.

I dislike mean jokes, and mostly those you can see the punchline coming from a mile around.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Wednesday 7/16/08 - 2:07:39 AM EST (GMT-5)
My sense of humor doesn't have boundaries when it comes to what is tasteful and what isn't. For me, it is more about whether or not a joke is poorly executed.

That said, I agree with Abz about scatological humor. It just isn't my thing.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 7/20/08 - 11:20:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
Oh, sure. I try to stay tasteful and inoffensive.
13 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Sunday 7/20/08 - 11:43:56 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't do or get dead baby jokes....could someone explain the humor in them to me???
13 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Friday 10/17/08 - 3:40:07 AM EST (GMT-5)
I do have my boundaries on what I find funny, but my tolerance is pretty high. Even if I find something in bad taste, I can still laugh at it.
anthro, it helps if you think babies and children are evil little brats.
13 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Friday 10/17/08 - 7:33:26 AM EST (GMT-5)
My boundary is if I'm genuinely upsetting someone. I don't want that.
13 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Friday 10/17/08 - 1:46:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
There's not much boundary on the things I find funny, but I won't say things around people that I know will upset them.

me either...that's pretty much my only boundary though
12 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Wednesday 6/17/09 - 11:20:41 AM EST (GMT-5)
No my humor knows no boundaries. I make fun of everything and everything. Dying children, Race, the holocaust, myslef, religion (including my own)

If its said as a joke or light heartedly it's all fair game.

I cant stand people that make fun of onething e.g someone else's religion but then crack it if you make fun of thiers.
12 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Wednesday 6/17/09 - 11:24:42 AM EST (GMT-5)
I find dead baby jokes a bit distasteful. Is that what you mean?
12 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Wednesday 6/17/09 - 11:39:15 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yes. Humor can only go so far.
I hate 'toilet humor'. I don't understand how jokes about bodily functions are funny... unless you're 10.
