Maybe not obsolete, but at the pace Christianity has been changing itself, who knows what we should believe in in the future.

Of course not all of the major religions are over 1000 years old. Some of them are much older than that. 1000 years isn't that long in the lifespan of a major religion. A lot of other things in our many various societies may come and go like a fad but not our religions.

I think Christianity and especially Catholicism will be strong. But Catholics have a tendency to evolve slowly to admitting science. I think they will basically be deists, saying God created the big bang, but they'll still do confession and mass etc just because they used to.
Almost everyone will finally accept evolution except maybe 5% of the population. They will be ridiculed like they should be.
