He's decent. I wouldn't call him a bad public speaker.

Better than Bush. He's good, but I wouldn't call him great.

Yes, he is an amazing public speaker. He can make unintelligent things sound intelligent.
From the p.o.v of someone who doesn't even necesarily support Obama.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean he'd make a good president.

Of course he is- - how else could he have gotten so far in the race for the presidency?

I think the words he uses are good, but he pauses too much and too long for my taste. Has anyone else noticed those pauses?

He's a great speaker. It's funny because you hear some people praise him for it, and other people see it as a bad quality (I guess those were the W voters)

We "W Voters" criticize Obama's speaking ability in a couple of ways. The first involves his constant use of the teleprompter. We question if he's really as good a speaker as he gets credit for.
The second criticism we have is that Obama's ability to give a great speech seems to be the reason he won the nomination. He was a first term Senator with no major legislation to his name and has done little to distinguish himself from the other Senators from a public policy standpoint.
