Hmm... I really don't know. I guess the latter, because a small amount of money probably wouldn't make much of a difference, even if it was given to multiple charities.

It would be more beneficial to a larger number of organizations to get small donations than for a few organizations to get a big wad.

I think it's best to give a large amount to one very important charity, spreading your money can cause minimal change across the board rather than massive change in one area.
For example, most Africa based charities can use a few dollars to give someone a meal for a week, but can use a thousand dollars to build a well for a whole village, so a concentrated donation is better. |
