A little of each. I think I'd like her one-on-one, where I think I'd get a better sense of how tongue-in-cheek her humor is. In a large group, though, I think you lose control of the context in which your audience takes your comments.

Eww I can't stand Chelsea Handler, she's so annoying to me for some reason. I LOVE SARAH SILVERMAN. She is the funniest ever, I can watch her stuff over and over and never get sick of it. And The Sarah Silverman Program is pretty darn funny too. |

Eh, neither. I find her unfunny because she tries too hard to be offensive--I hate it when comedians do this, rely so much on shock value that it's just not funny (only annoying).

I still laugh at her show every now and then, but by comparison to other female comedians (like Kathleen Madigan, for example), she's not that funny. She isn't TERRIBLE. I mean, she isn't like Kathy Griffin level bad.

When I can't find Kathy Griffin, I settle for Sarah Silverman. She is funny most of the time, but I agree that she relies too much on shock value in her humor and often becomes stale and overdone. That being said, I always think it's funny when people think she is a racist. It's like they miss the entire point of her act. Which is humorous and wonderful. |

she's so cute! i find her funny. although she's very close to the line, i wouldn't consider her racist. she is offensive though, that's her whole schtick. |
