I have about a hundred spare buttons in a drawer in my desk. I have never lost a button off a piece of clothing in my entire life, and if I did I probably would never find the right button, and I would probably be too lazy to sew it on anyway. Yet I keep them. I have buttons for clothes that I grew out of and got rid of years ago.

Yes, I have a box with extra buttons. I've sewn one on after a button fell off so its always good to save them.

I tend to keep them for a while, but the next time I see them I end up throwing it out. I never actually use it.

My family has a button jar. We always just throw it in there.

I have done. Usually the clothes come with a button sewn-in on the care label, so if you need it you just cut it out and replace the missing one. Easy-Peasey.

I usually throw mine out, or else lose it.

Yep. Not too long ago I had to use one of the extra buttons on my trench coat.

No, I just either lose them or toss them out.

I keep mine.. and they just keep turning up from time to time.. but I never actually need them. I just figure that as soon as I throw it away, I'll need it.

I hold on to them just in case.

I always save them, even though I've never ever had to replace a button before. I think it has to do with my OCD and hoarding everything.

I just throw them in the button jar. They're there if I need them, but they usually don't get used.

Nope, but I really hate it when they're sown into the inside clothing it scratches me and if I try to remove them it makes holes in the fabric...Grrr!

I try to save them, but I usually just end up losing them. But I have never had to replace a button on any of my clothes anyways. Luck for me.

I've never actually used one I don't think, but I do keep them just in case. It seems as though the buttons never come off of things that come with extra buttons. Buttons only fall off of things I don't have extra buttons for....it's a conspiracy.

I keep mine in a little box, I'm paranoid that they'll fall off... and I have a lot of shirts with buttons.
