As almost everyone said, it really depends on what kind of love. Kinship love can happen at a very young age, if the child can understand.

Absolutely, but it can change. Right now, it's exactly 1 day older than I am now, and tomorrow, it'll be the same.

There are different types of love.

Love of man for God
Eros
Love of country
Love of family
etc.

Love in such a wide definition can't be limited by age.

No. You love your mother from day one, and you can grow up with the guy next door and be best friends and then get married when you grow up.

I agree with some of you on one point: the ability to experience romantic love, just like maturity, comes with age.

However, that age is different for every person. I know some people who reach that maturity at ages as young as 12, and some that don't reach it until well into their 20s. Maturity, just like love, is just one of those things that can't really be predicted.

You just need to be mature enought to know what love IS.

I don't think so. I know someone who got a boyfriend when she was about five, and I got my first boyfriend when I was eight. Thankfully I dumped him about a week later!

If it's physical love yes it does have a minimum age. If it's any other kind of love like friendly love or familial love then no.
