Here's what he was doing in the couple hours between the shootings - sending in a bunch of insane manifesto stuff to NBC... Gunman sent package to NBC News

A thousand times "No." I think it is a natural reaction to look for answers, but in our search for comfort through those answers, we sometimes rush to find one- any one- that fits the bill. The shooter and the shooter alone was responsible. Could others have done something? Maybe, but the blame is his and his alone. Unfortunately, that's not a very comforting answer, because it implies correctly that some time in the future, some other nutjob will be able to do something just as horrible.

I'm not sure I agree that that it's the university's fault. I mean, if they believed it was a simple murder, with a motive, why would they have any reason to think the killer would go on a rampage?

Campus officials and police did the best they could with the information they had at the time. Hindsight is 20/20.

No, I think his family is more to blame then anyone. From what I understand, there were red flags all over the place about this guy. Somebody should have gotten him some help.

The person shooting the gun is responsible for the deaths of the people he killed.
