I think neither, because luxury to me means something rare and very comfortable.

"Luxury" means having the best of everything.

To me, living in luxury means having many things that you want but don't need.

Luxury means, to me, having things I don't really need, that are expensive.

To me luxury means having a lot of many and spending it on gadgets, vacation to exotic places and trips around the world. I had a lesson back in highschool about luxury and basic needs and it turns out that basic needs are: food, water, housing, clothing and luxury:tv, computer, internet, telephone, trips etc.

Neither, it's either 'the most expensive' or 'the best'.

To me, it is anything that is more than what you need. Expensiveness helps.

Neither really, though the first is closer. "Luxury" to me is all about the expensive and unnecessary--it's what you don't need and can't afford.

Neither. "Luxury" means that something is extra and not necessary... like extra material possessions besides the necessities.
