During the fall we put pop out.

It's way too cold here to put stuff out during the winter though, and sometimes the temperature fluctuates tons from one day to the next.

Nope, we have room in the freezer for what needs to be frozen.
15 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Tuesday 12/26/06 - 12:25:09 AM EST (GMT-5)
No, it's not even cold enough to do that this year.
15 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Tuesday 12/26/06 - 12:35:23 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, during certain times of the year.

You can't do that here in Phoenix. It was almost 70F today.

We do that during the holidays when we have tons of food that just doesn't fit in the fridge.

Haha, I have NEVER heard of that before!

We live in Texas, where it's never practical to put food outside unless you want it to rot in the heat.
15 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Friday 2/23/07 - 7:15:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
that wouldn't work here.
15 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Friday 2/23/07 - 7:26:37 PM EST (GMT-5)
Not since we lost our power in an ice storm years back.
15 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Friday 2/23/07 - 7:47:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
It never gets cold enough here to leave food out except for bottles of soft drink. Who drinks that stuff in winter anyway.
15 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Friday 2/23/07 - 7:48:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
Only if we lose electricity.
15 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Thursday 3/29/07 - 11:20:06 AM EST (GMT-5)
I personally don't but my mom does.
15 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Thursday 3/29/07 - 12:29:36 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, I've never done that.
15 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Thursday 4/5/07 - 10:12:11 PM EST (GMT-5)
No. It's usually not cold enough to make a dramatic difference. It'll just be a slightly cooler drink.
15 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Thursday 4/5/07 - 11:45:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, I've never done that. There's always room.
15 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Saturday 4/21/07 - 5:29:09 AM EST (GMT-5)
Does this even matter?

And no.

15 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Thursday 6/7/07 - 2:21:08 AM EST (GMT-5)
There's usually room. Sometimes we use a portable cooler if we need excess storage... but winter isn't as cold in Australia, so we can't just leave it outside for the ice and snow to cool it down.

yeah, we usually do this with pop and water, it keeps it cold and we have more room in the fridge for things that probably need to be in there

Yeah, what they said.

The coldest it gets where I live is MAYBE half a degree below freezing in the coldest part of January for the one coldest hour in the middle of the night.

No, it never stays that cold here...
