Do you always feel guilty walking by the Salvation Army bell ringers and not giving them money?
They are always standing out there freezing and saying hi to everyone. I always give a lot of money to one of them over the holidays but then I have the urge to tell the others I`ve already donated so they don`t think I`m a tightwad.

I always have to give something because I feel really guilty otherwise. The only people we get knocking on doors around here are Jehovah's Witnesses and my mum always told me to close the door and not talk to them.

I don't feel guilty. One stands right outside my work so I've donated there a few times, but I can't do it everytime I walk by.

They would go around certain places to ask for help and that is the time I offer help and give them money.

Yes, I do feel guilty walking past them. This happened to me today while I was Christmas shopping, the guy looked me directly in the eyes and was like 'give me money' and I was just too broke to do anything. I felt terrible.
