If you shut down the Muslim prayer rooms then you shut down the Christian Chapels as well. When will the fear-mongers realize that Muslim does not equal terrorist. In exactly the same way that Homosexual does not equal Paedophile. There are bad people in every religion and race, but there are many more good.

I don't get why almost everyone seems to think if you're muslim or a middle east decendant that you are a terrorist. It's so fxcking stupid, and i'm getting really tired of it. So no. If we barred them from praying safely and legally at the goddamn AIRPORT then we should barr everyone else from doing the same, no matter the religion.

Many people are stupid. And many are paranoid. A few are both. And some of these enter politics, where they're allowed to make decicions like this.

No way. Doing things like that would only stir up more resentment in the Muslim world.

They only shut down the unofficial prayer rooms that the muslim workers had in the coat rooms and other places. I don't have any problem with that, nobody needs more than one prayer room or chapel.

Under these circumstances, the authorities did the right thing. If there is already a prayer room set up, they needn't have covert ones in closets and so on. That goes for all faiths, not just the Muslims.

They should shut down all prayer rooms. How often do you really need to pray? If you really want to pray, just go in a corner or something.

I guess you could then ask, "What about all the unofficial Christian and Jewsih prayer locations?" but Christians and to the best of my knowledge, Jews, too, do not require any special accomodations for prayer or worship. They can do so in any chair, among other places. I would think Muslims would be allowed to do so on a piece of floor out of the way of foot traffic, but I can understand how airport security might prefer that such places either be official places or visible places.

Let's also not ignore the fact that there are no Christian or Jewish organizations involved in widespread, collusive terrorism in the name of their religion, wither.

The religion doesn't have anything to do with the war. That is a stereotype. People who think this way do not know anything about what the religion is.

I think said politician was paranoid and prejudiced. If they shut down the Muslim prayer room, they should also shut down the Christian Chapel, Jewish Synagogue, and Atheist lounge.
