I would say it depends upon the individual, it's hard to generalise. Someone might be ugly and not be aware of it, someone might be naturally beautiful and not have altered themselves at all but have a low self esteem. How do you classify ugly and beautiful, anyway? One woman's prince may be anothers pauper.

once you know that you're viewed as ugly to outsiders, then that is when self-esteem issues arise. I say ugly people have worse self esteem because when name calling, the world is more likely to dehumanize an ugly person. Ugly people are more likely to be viewed as workhorses and not really have their feelings regarded.

thata a toughy. i mean some people chose to be ugly i mean cuz they dont shower, or brush ther hair and ther dirty. if they wanted to they could change that, but most itmes they dont because they dont care maybe ther comftrable like that because they have good self esteem. beautiful people ususally have lower self esteem because they have to try to look beautiful, and they care too much about what people think of them.

I think that this is such a complicated question to answer, It can go either way. People are complicated, there is no yes or no.

That's hard to say, I've known both attractive and not so attractive people that have self esteem issues.

I know from many arguments with my friends that everyone has a different idea of what is "attractive" and what is "ugly" so this is a hard question. Anyone could have a self esteem issue. I guess if had to chose I'd an attractive person.

Generally speaking, I'd say that unattractive people would have worse self-esteem. It seems like common sense to me.

It depends. My cousins are all very attractive, but they have little or no self-esteem.

Ugly people. Attractive people always whine and bitch about the way they look, but they're just fishing for compliments.

A lot of physically "pretty" people don't even care or try to look good on purpose, they're just "pretty", regardless of what they do or don't do to "prepare" or not "prepare" themselves in that way... Plus physical "attractiveness" varies greatly, as well as your inner person varies greatly... So I think it depends on how you feel about yourself as a whole, both physical and "non-physical", to have low or high self esteem, etc....

You would think ugly people. But attractive people's self asteem can be hurt more easily by an insult than an ugly person.

I think it depends on whether they see theirselves as attractive or not rather than if they really are.
