No. I honestly think it's so inept that it can't find him.. Either that or they just truly don't care anymore.

Yet they care enough about Iraq, and they didn't even have anything to do with 9/11. I just can't comprehend why they don't want to get the guy that has admitted he planned that major terrorist attack on our country.

Not being able to find him is one I never thought of, but actually that sounds plausible as well. I don't understand why they haven't found him in almost 5 years anyway.

Yeah, they can't find him so to save face politically they pretend they don't care about finding him anymore.

I doubt they would let him go if they had the choice. The guy was responsible for more than one succesful terrorist attack against U.S targets.

I seriously doubt the government has a secret deal with Osama. I think it's more likely he's dead and has been for some time.

I haven't heard this. It's my understanding that the subjects he discussed on his tapes was rather generic. Also, I was under the impression that non-American sources had been unable to verify the authenticity of the tapes?

No they were verified, and he talked about things that had happened recently in it to prove it was him.

Interesting. See, what I heard was that some experts in Europe, possibly Scandanavia (I can't remember which country), said the tapes were fakes.

Yeah I remember them thinking that at first but then they were like listening to clues in it and determined they were recent.

When 9-11 hit the fan, I would have been outraged that someone would think such a thing. Considering all the crap that's happened during the B(u)S(h) administration, though, I've become rather cynical.

I really want to believe no. But, for all the talk about cutting and running in Iraq, we have cut and ran in Afganistan. We have the best military, the most money, best techonolgy and we still haven't caught him. America should be outraged. After all, after the first Trade Center attack in Feb 93, we brought those people to justice in Dec 94. Say what you will about Clinton being responsible for 9/11, 2 facts remain, bin Laden attacked America and he still has not been brought to justice (even if the reports of his death are true, he still has not been brought to justice). Another fact is that Bush is responsible for getting him. Instead of staying the course in finding him, he went into Iraq.

No.. I think if anything Pakistan have cut a deal with Laden, offering safety in their country. - And that is unlikely, but far more likely than the US cutting a deal.

Has Pakistan allowed the US to come in and "get" Osama? It's kinda hard to capture him if he can't enter the country...
