I don't think I have but I have seen it happen to others, I remember watching a young girl walk into a shop in a pair of shorts and a singlet asking about work and the shop assistant actually pointed out to her that if she was going to go around asking about work she should dress more appropriately.

Of course, people stereotype even if they don't mean to.

When my friend and I went to a super rich area, they wouldn't let us in some shops because we were wearing shorts and flip flops.

Me and my friends weren't allowed into club the other night because we looked to 'casual'. Also, another friend is never let into a certain club because of the way he looks, even on nights where they claim there's no dress code.

Yep, My cousin kindly asked me to leave my grandfathers funeral because she thought my skirt was too short. Later her own mother told me to go home and change into a even shorter one and that her daughter only said that too me because she was jealous that she dont look like this anymore .

Not really, but one night when I was about 22, my then boyfriend and I went to enter a nightclub and we were stopped at the door, refused entry because, and I quote, "you're not hip and groove enough". What a crack up.

Most people wear a certain type of clothing because they want to give off a certain type of image. If people don't want to be discriminated against because they are a stoner, goth, etc,... then they shouldn't wear shirts that say 420 or paint everything on them black .

I can somewhat understand the stoner thing (since it's illegal), or the too-revealing clothes, but why do you care how other people look? My first road test. I had a black tshirt on, with jeans. My dad had jeans and a tshirt, and we both have long hair (well, his is longish). We both swear she failed me before I got into the car. 2nd road test I did great.

People are always yelling at me out their car windows because of what I wear. Some examples are, "F*ck you, weirdo!" and "What the f*ck is wrong with you!?" Not that I’m complaining or anything. I actually find it funny that they think I’ll feel insulted.

i think I lost a few points for teaching high school with a hole in my shoe when I was a student teacher but it wasn't really discriminatory
