This sort of thing is what happens in wars - it's part of the war mentality.

Even by their own accounts, they just went in with grenades and guns - to 4 houses - without checking to see if there were civilians or sold

I highly doubt it was the only one that ever happened. Sometimes I think the United States Military like to feel like they are in complete and total control so I think they do things like this to scare civilian's
