Not at all. It might have been an accident, but nothing justifies the act itself.

Nothing that would realistically happen.

Nobody's innocent.

Kikipeepers isn't in here right now, but I think she was using the word innocent to mean "uninvolved."

For example, a soldier knowingly shooting at unarmed civilians would be murdering innocent people, because the people he's killing aren't a threat - they're *uninvolved* bystanders who have nothing to do with the conflict.

Isn't this what the US officials calls "collateral damadge"?

If they're innocent, then no of course not.

There is nothing to justify killing people, period.

In War people die fact. Unfortuantly in war many crazy things happen, and those that get caught in the middle of action are just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Thats War.

However if it isn't a War then yes, and it would depend upon on the action they have done. I.E Murdered another without having a VERY VERY VERY Good excuse, Raped someone, or other such serious crime.

If however the only thing they have done is live there lives as law aibing people then they should in theory be left to do that. Its just a sad reality that people kill one another for very stupid reasons, that lead to more killing and more suffering. I am all for Killing someone should there
A) A valid and very good reason for it
B) the person killed has done something to desrve such or
C) by killing the person a greater Kindness or good come of it.

as long as its justifiable then its fine, the minet its not justifible and needless then its a problem.

I have one: Dr. Evil and his evil minions are about to destroy the world. You have the ability to destroy his evil lair. If you do, you kill Dr. Evil and all his minions, plus one innocent cleaning lady. If you don't act, the world will be vaporized.

Does this justify killing the cleaning lady? I say yes, it does.

Is it right to kill innocent people? ABSOLUTELY! Lets say you shot a person in Iraq for being a soldier for assama binwhatshisface, picturing this? Good, okay now lets say that soldier had been new and had never murdered anyone before/yet. Was he innocent or was he deserving of it? If he was innocent or not it doesnt matter because he's on the opposite team, he has to die, he chose to join the army so...BANG!

here are other less obvious reasons to kill such as say..you're bored as hell and the annoying neighbor just asked to barrow a cup of sugar which you happen to have. You invite them into your home and WACK! off goes their head! :D thus boredom is cured... torture cures boredom best though...

Ideals such as "there is no justification to killing people, period" is a thought people come up to make them feel somehow superior to other who do kill since they have no need for it. What they dont seem to know is that someone else is killing for them, U.S soldiers in Ira

Killing some to save many, absolutely justifiable.

This is a very simple idea. It's a lovely idea, but I don't think that was the meaning of the question

I agree. If killing one innocent person could say, prevent anyone from ever being raped or sexually abused again, I would say go for it. But its not going to happen.

If they actually did anything that somehow made it justifiable to kill them, then they must not be innocent.
15 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Saturday 6/24/06 - 3:03:12 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yes.

If a few people have to die to save many others, then it is the best way to go in any situation.

^ Nice, I didn't even think of that. Makes good sense.
