I agree. If no one wanted to follow Jesus while he was on Earth then there would be no Christianity because no one would have seen his teachings to be worthwhile enough to be remembered.

Brett is right, I think you do need to dust off your Bible! Tons of people followed Jesus, and there was only one group of people out to lynch him.
