There is none in my hometown but here at college there's a bus college students can take for free. I use that instead of driving my car all the time. Not many other people do though.

In Milwaukee, definitely. Stevens Point, maybe not so much. In Point, you can walk to pretty much wherever you need to go.

I think there might be a taxi service, but I'm not for sure. There's no buses or anything, so most people just drive/walk/bike/whatever.

No not really, which is sad, because it's a pretty good system up here...just buses, but they run regularly.

I have a wicked PTS here. We have hundreds of bus routes, and innercity trains, that are always expanding. I love the bus, I'd die without it. :) Here's a reflection of me on the c-train! Here's a picture of the train passing me by in downtown...
Sorry. I love pictures.

I live in a small college-town so we don't have public transportation. I live near campus, so I can walk to class but besides that I have to drive.

I wouldn't exactly say it's commonplace, but there do seem to be a lot of buses

No, it's more common here for people to drive their gas-guzzling, house-sized SUVs everywhere they go.

There isn't much public transit right in my town, but most people take the train to get into Berkeley or San Francisco just because the parking in the city is so horrendous.

Public transportation is very commonplace here. Most people take it, because it's faster than traveling by car. Been living here 8 years, still don't have a car, still don't need it.

Yes it is. Most of London's roads are very narrow, what with the history and that, so traffic moves at a crawl. Trains and the tube are the most practical ways of getting around.

Not really. There is a small bus, but that is mainly just used by the elderly and the handicapped it seems.

Most people will drive, but there are lots of people on the buses/skytrain too. We have decent public transit.

In my area there's people that smuggle drugs. That's a form of transportation. And I think they sell it to the public. So, it's kind of like a form of public transportation, I guess.

Oh, yes. Stuttgart, Germany. Most people take the train or subway to get around. Buses are also really commonly used. I use the subway to get to downtown, too. Our public transportation system is fantastic, if a little annoying sometimes.
