I would say their lifes are as hard, just with different challenges. Imagine seeing your mom flaunting her as* in her newest music video or watching her old cinema for adult viewing tapes...

Monetarily...usually easy (as long as the parents don't p*ss it all away)...but they'd have strangers know who they are just because of their parents...that would be hard.
15 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Tuesday 4/4/06 - 6:14:53 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think they'd have the same childhood issues that the rest of us do. Growing pains, puberty, et cetera.
15 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Saturday 4/8/06 - 3:30:53 PM EST (GMT-5)
It would be pretty hard dealing with your private life being observed and judged by strangers
15 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Wednesday 8/2/06 - 12:17:32 AM EST (GMT-5)
They have it financially easier and they have it easier when it comes to making friends and being popular.

Life is a challenge. Being a celebrity's offspring doesn't make it any easier.

*Vomits*

It's not any harder. Hollywood doesn't need any more sob stories.

While the KKK is out there practicing hate crimes, more people are concerned about the paparazzi taking candid shots of brangelina going out to lunch.

What a sad world.

It's such a sad world that people care more about the welfare of a celebrity who doesn't give a f-ck about you anyway than someone who is actually in need.

Get your head out of Hollywood's ass.

When you lose the punk makeup I'll take you seriously.

And they have it esier.

Although this addresses it more succinctly, I'll have to add that just because there are bigger problems elsewhere doesn't mean we shouldn't care about any problem smaller than that. Are you one of those people who sees a police officer writing a speeding ticket and questions whether he or she could be out solving a murder? How would you feel after being robbed if the police said, "Sorry, but there are unsolved murders to investigate"?

Celebrity kids have certain privileges that the rest of us envy, but their problems are just as real for them as ours are for us.

I'm sure it's the same as in any other family - everyone has problems, just not always the same ones.

I haven't been wearing "punk makeup" for 2 weeks.

What was the point of that post?

I figure it's easier.
15 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Wednesday 8/2/06 - 5:04:38 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't really tend to care.

Everyone has their cross to bear.
THey are under more scrutiny than I would care for, but they have access to many things that the average kid doesn't.
It's a draw, in my book.

The kids will get everything handed to them, but I think it would be harder to make friends. You'd be labeled as "Maddonna's kid" (or whomever this the parent) and people would want to be your friend for the wrong reasons (you'd give badass birthday presents!). I'd think that it'd be hard to really make some true friends.

they face diffrent challenges like having their photo in magazines when they go out with their parents of jealousy from kids at school no privacy on family vacations most the details of their family vacation ends up in the tabloids

14 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 12/29/06 - 11:09:56 AM EST (GMT-5)
I do know that your privacy doesn't exist in this situation.
14 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 12/29/06 - 10:48:52 PM EST (GMT-5)
Financially, they have it a lot easier, what with having rich celebrities for parents and all. But otherwise? Think of all the publicity surrounding them--you'd be living in the public eye, and hardly get any privacy.

I agree

I would say both. They have the money to get what they want like clothes, accessories, the latest gadgets, travel etc which makes it a little bit easier but harder when they get to know new people.

But then by having a famous parent/parents you'd have the paparazzi following you everywhere, make friends with people who you don't know if they like you for you or because of your parents being famous etc.

They definitely have different challenges than the non-famous kids...but they still have challenges.
12 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Sunday 3/22/09 - 7:41:52 AM EST (GMT-5)
Everyone has problems, and they consider them to be huge. The largest problem you have is always going to be a big deal, because that is the worst you have experienced.
12 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Sunday 3/22/09 - 8:16:26 AM EST (GMT-5)
They'd possibly have more problems. On top of the other things, like all the teenage hormonal changes, etc., they would probably be under a lot of pressure to do well because of their parents doing so well, then there's the thing about everyone knowing your name etc.
