Didn't know that teenage Wiccans had doubts like that.

Speak out against it. Besides, one religion will never work for all the world.

Except Unitarianism, eh?

I don't ever seen myself in support of any form of mysticism. Oh and you don't have to include false hope, it's implied.

Not even that one.

I'm allin favour of people believing in any damn thing they please if it makes them happy, to the point where it has a negative effect on others.

But if someone wants to believe that the world was created by a super intelligent intergalactic penguin who wants us all to be nice to each other, and they are a good person, I'm not about to burst their bubble.

speak out
15 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 12/27/05 - 8:54:13 PM EST (GMT-5)
For some odd reason, I can't picture myself giving false hope.
Smiling bemusedly and staying silent... now that's more like it!

I'd much rather speak out against it, knowing I'm right. Oh wait, I already do!
15 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Friday 5/19/06 - 1:01:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah but how do you know you're right?
15 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Sunday 7/9/06 - 6:23:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
Most assurdly speak out against it. It is people that preach false docterns which makes it bad for the rest of us christians.. They don't adhere to the teachings of the bible and they only teach on things that they think is right. When in general they are all wrong. But there fate is in the hands of God. He says that there is a special place in hell for false prophets and teachers. 2nd Peter 2: 11But there were FALSE PROPHETS among the people, as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly put forward wrong teachings for your destruction, even turning away from the Lord who gave himself for them; whose destruction will come quickly, and they themselves will be the cause of it.
15 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Sunday 7/9/06 - 6:43:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
speak out against it.
15 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Sunday 7/9/06 - 6:49:04 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think that its right so how can I speak out against it and think thats right too. I also wouldn't give false hope but if its speakin for Christ, which wouldn't be false hope,IMO, then I would.

I would never knowingly give false hope, and I would speak out against it if I thought it was somethin that did.

I'd probably be most likely to do neither. Giving people false hope is not necessarily a bad thing, unless they are somehow going to find out that it's false hope. If it makes them happy, and they're not hurting anyone else as a result, who am I to tell them that what they believe is false (even if it is)?

But, that said, I don't think I could really preach something I didn't believe in, so while I'd likely do neither, if forced to choose, I'd speak out against it.

I have no desire to do either, at all.
15 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Monday 7/31/06 - 1:12:53 AM EST (GMT-5)
tricky ... hmmm probably talk against. people are gonna believe what they want. but giving out false hope is just kinda mean lol.
15 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Wednesday 8/2/06 - 5:22:29 AM EST (GMT-5)
Bokononism anyone?
15 yrs ago - Friday 11/3/06 - 7:25:15 PM EST (GMT-5)
Speak out against it.
15 yrs ago - Friday 11/3/06 - 7:27:14 PM EST (GMT-5)
Why would anyone say anything other than "speak out..."?

I agree.

Who are you to judge whether it is "false hope"?
Nobody knows. Nobody knows about God, and people should stop pretending that they do because it's very pretentious.
And secondly, I didn't know that hope could be "false".

I was wondering the same thing. Makes the question pretty pointless, IMO.

14 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Sunday 12/24/06 - 5:14:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
