Of course. Not everyone who visits a zoo is a vegetarian.

No, zoos shouldn't even be allowed to keep animals in captivity.

Of course. How could anyone answer "no" unless they're psychotically pro-animal or anti-capitalism?

Some zoos are really good - they teach people about animals they'd never get to see otherwise, and increase research into diseases or other problems causing overpopulation or extinction.

Yes-As long as the meat doesn't come from species of animals housed in the zoo

They create natural habitats and put an incredible effort into caring for the animals. Without zoos there would be less animals than you may believe.

Well, I thought giraffe and zebra are endangered... if thats the case, I'm against it. If not, I'm all for it. Of course, they could just sell beef, I doubt anyone would notice...

Yeah, it's not like they're feeding people meat from one of their animals.

I guess as long as they're not offereing people lion-burgers or zebra-steaks...If it's not meat from the zoo animals, I think it'd be okay.

Nothing wrong with eating a hamburger at a zoo. Might be weird if they have a cow section...but usually zoos don't keep cows.

Of course they should. There's nothing I like more than a good juicy burger, no matter where I am or what kind of animal is watching me eat.

Eh, it's a little bit disturbing if it comes from an animal in the zoo. I'd probably eat it anyway.

Zoos aren't going away. And since they exist, they have to make money. If they refuse to cater to the people who visit them, how else will they be able to afford the care and upkeep of the animals? Frankly, the menu at the zoo in Thailand sounds appalling, but they must think people will actually want to eat these meats or they wouldn't serve them. Besides, I'm sure someone in India feels equal disgust when they hear about people enjoying their burgers. *shrug*

Crocodile actually tastes quite nice and you can buy it in supermarkets here. Zebra I spose would be kinda like eating horse, not something that appeals to me but other people may like it who am I to say they can't. Girrafe aren't they endagered? All the people saying no its so wrong blah blah blah. Just because you don't think it right doesn't mean it isnt. Muslims probably think the same thing about those of us who eat pork. Or hindu's about beef.

It seems just a tad hypocrytical to me. Zoo's typically broadcast love and appreciation of wild animals. "Ah yes, this is the long-necked giraffe. Quite lovely, this particular species has been through alot, what with poachers often killing this animal and using it's meat for food... Now if you'd direct your attention to the snack bar, you'll see we have a fantastic menu featuring giraffe burgers and crocodile lasagna" O_o
