Do you submerge your eggs in water before using them to make sure they`re good?
If the egg sinks to the bottom, it`s good. If it `floats`.. get rid of it!

I don't eat eggs so I don't have to preform such experiments. I also however, haven't heard of this method of testing eggs.

You don't. You just put the egg in a glass of water, like in the picture.

Older eggs have larger air pockets in them, thus they float, as opposed to fresh ones which are denser and sink.

And generally, I just look at the "use by" date.

The mommy chicken lies an egg.
If the eggs are going to be eaten, they will be taken away.
