Not really, since it relies on only reported data when crime is something that often goes unreported.

Statistics can be twisted to tell you anything you want them to.

Statistics about crime don't predict anything. They give an overview of how crime has progressed over a period of time. And since many people don't bother to go the police to report crime the statistics are not accurate.

Definately not there's so many cases of rape and domestic violence that go unreported

I read that on the back of a penguin wrapper. I think it's a joke....you can't read every statistic in existence then look it up and record enough data to decide the statistic on how many are realistic.....anyway.

What about those unreported cases, like rape?
