Do I personally want to look at all of them? No. Should we be able to know about the abuse going on in Iraq and be able to see the pictures if they exist? Yes.

We already know it was happening. They should be kept from John Q. Public. There's no reason to show them to the average citizen.

^Your theory would make (a tiny bit) more sense if the same prioners we were abusing were responsible for abusing our soldiers, but they aren't. Would you want to be held responsbile for something someone else does just because you happen to live in the same country or belong to the same religion?

Also, aren't we supposed to be portraying ourselves as examples to Iraq? We're doing a sh*tty job if we're abusing their soldiers. We are not children and two wrongs don't make a right. The "if you dish it out be prepared to take it" philosophy may work when you're four, but it doesn't work as intentional law and that has been proven.

No I don't think they should be open to the public. I think it really scares kids who happen to be watching the news. But then again my husband is in the Marines so I am married to the Corps., and so the less we hear about military when we are trying to relax and watch tv at home ---the better.
