Should there be an Oscar category for stunt work?
Stunt performers have once again had their request for an Oscar category rejected (http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,16808,00.html).

Stunt work is certainly vital to action films and most films in general. But, are movies filled with stunts Oscar-worthy?

Yes, those stunt devils do a dangerous job, so they should at least be recognized for it with a dumb reward.

Absolutely, these people put their lives on the line in some cases while Brad Pitt et al sit in their trailers sipping coffee. Give them the recognition they deserve, so many great action scenes wouldn't have been possible without them.

YES! The stunt people do a lot more work than the actors and it's what they do that makes a movie worth watching.

Yes, it's amazing what some of those people can do. And sometimes makes a movie because the plots are so weak.

LOL, I've always wondered that too! There sould be one for the Key Grip too, what do they do? But yes, stuntmen should be recognized too, they work just as hard (maybe even harder) as everyone else on the movies
