That's a little idealistic... No Bush doesn't mean that the war will just end.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Thursday 7/7/05 - 1:08:56 AM EST (GMT-5)
The best way to support soldiers is to encourage them in their work...

Clinton was going to be impeached for something far less serious than invading Iraq, wasn't he.

Surrysounds said it the best. The soldiers don't create the war, they just have to fight it. Support them.

It seems to me that Bush is abusing our military, our troops by sending them to a war that was ill-planned and based on a lie.

Thousands of our troops have been killed and injured (as well as thousands of Iraqis) since the "Mission Accomplished" speech. Iraq is more unstable as well than it was before.

Yes, they tried to impeach Clinton for lying about fellatio, but we have a president now who clearly lied to send us to war costing the lives of thousands of young people.

Ummm, can anyone hook me up with some cake?

While it would just be lovely to see him be dethroned, I don't like the idea of Cheney taking his spot much better.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 7/17/05 - 12:30:00 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't see how impeaching Bush would support the troops. It would support the rehabilitation of the USA though.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 7/17/05 - 12:47:26 PM EST (GMT-5)
People who want to impeach Bush don't look very far ahead. The people who would take his place would be just as bad, if not worse(cheney) in your eyes wouldn't they?
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 7/17/05 - 1:36:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
no Bush rocks. He was doin what he saw as the best way to make the world a better place.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 7/17/05 - 1:52:13 PM EST (GMT-5)
No. Impeaching Bush is nothing. It just means he'll be charged with a violation; it doesn't mean he'll get kicked out of office. Even if he does get booted out, his replacement won't guarantee anything, either. No one says the war will end or the troops will come home. Remember, Kerry did not say he would bring the troops home.

Instead of being infatuated with Bush, the best thing we could do to support the troops is to tell them ourselves we appreciate their efforts, because that comes straight from the heart. We can also donate money and care packages to them and their families. We have to ask ourselves if this is about our troops or is this about Bush.

This coming from a woman who went through two months of boot camp. I got sent home for an injury. I was ready willing and eager to fight for our country. So that the liberal democrats can sit at home on their butts and complain how horrible this world is. Bush is doing everything he can to change a world left so crappy by Bill Clinton. At least Bush is getting things done, not getting his thing done.

LOL, clever.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 7/17/05 - 3:27:36 PM EST (GMT-5)
I really dislike Bush but No it would just stir up a lot of commotion
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 7/17/05 - 4:03:42 PM EST (GMT-5)
Obviously the people that are over there fighting want to be over there considering we didn't draft them. The chose what they did.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 7/17/05 - 4:08:13 PM EST (GMT-5)
Or they might be doing it to get into college. But I see what you're saying and that's always my arguement for stupid question like this, too.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 7/17/05 - 4:15:00 PM EST (GMT-5)
Voting him out last November would have been, but I don't know why he should be impeached. I dislike him, but I don't consider any of his offenses impeachable.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 7/17/05 - 4:21:21 PM EST (GMT-5)
I keep getting this one, and the one about the bedpost one after the other. Its quite annoying.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 7/18/05 - 11:19:05 AM EST (GMT-5)
His offenses would be impeachable, but I don't want Cheney in office either. I may be a liberal democrat, and do NOT support a war for oil, but I do support my troops and in doing that I wish them all to come home safely, not die for something I cannot support, and I know many others who cannot support. The best way to support our troops is write to them and show gratitude and send supplies and wish (or pray whatever you do) that they come home all safe and in one piece.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 7/18/05 - 12:38:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
That is absurd. We aren't fighting a war for oil. Jesus Christ...If we wanted oil we would be in SAudi Arabia. He did lie but not with his knowledge. He was told they had WMDs. He has done nothing impeachable. And by the way how would impeaching thier leader be good support for the troops. If AMerica really did not want him to be president we wouldn't have voted him in for four more years. So stop bithcing about impeachment just because you want revenge because Clinton was impeached for something that HE DID. I get so sick of this garbage.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 7/18/05 - 12:40:12 PM EST (GMT-5)
^BWAHAHAHAH
Not fighting for oil..

No, I don't see how that would end the war.

16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 7/18/05 - 5:26:27 PM EST (GMT-5)
Letting them know that we still care for them and hoping the come back safe is a way to support the troops.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 7/18/05 - 6:30:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think impeaching Bush would be a way to not be hypocritical if indeed he lied, since after all Clinton lied and he got impeached.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Tuesday 7/19/05 - 4:07:51 AM EST (GMT-5)
Thank you firesera. Clinton could of had signed a legal form that would arrest Ossama binladen when he was in office therefore making this war easier. You morons, presidents make a decision based on intellingence reports sent to their desk. You have to remember that democrats are in there also to update the pres. He didnt lie!! they found mustard gas wich can kill a lot of people. and if you're so sure he lied and all this crap ask yourselves this, do you want Husain back in power? if you sign up to be a soldier no matter the reason you have to accept that you fu**ed up!!!! just fight and thank you for keeping our freedom
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Tuesday 7/19/05 - 2:29:43 PM EST (GMT-5)
I'd like to get an American's point of view on this. Does anyone believe anything that Bush or any other of the leaders of your country say. I'm not being sarcastic, I just want to know, because It seems to me that every single thing that comes out of their mouths is a lie. I want to know if Americans are that brainwashed to believe one scrap of information from them, or if I'm seriously biased against them.
16 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Tuesday 7/19/05 - 4:10:54 PM EST (GMT-5)
Only in American. ^_^
