I think it's easier than people think. I love my veggie diet. And I'm lactose intolerant. So, you know, no meat, no dairy. I do fine. I just HATE Chevy's.

My husband and I have been ovo-lacto vegetarians for 24 years. Our sons, ages 20 and 22, have been vegetarians from the womb. Heatherlw, if you gained 40 pounds in six months, you were doing something SERIOUSLY wrong - or you were pregnant.

I did it once, in high school because I thought I was cool or something. It lasted about two weeks, then I broke down over some sausage pizza. Bacon tastes GOOD Pork chops is GOOD

Potato chips and oatmeal cream pies may not have meat in them, but they will still make you fat

I've tried but it makes me very weak not to have a certain amount of red meat and fish.

No, it is a very dangerous lifestyle. I have known several vegetarians and everyone of them had serious health issues. One was very overweight. The woman ate pure carbs all day long and thought she was so smart. I think many do it to be cool, others do it out of ignorance or for political reasons. There are a few that just dont like meat and are trying to eat in a way they think is best. Our bodies need protein. No matter what we eat, we are killing some type of life.

I've had some health problems, but they're geneticly based - cancer runs in my family line. On 6/22/2005 9:32:53 PM 112233w wrote: One was very overweight. It'S not very dangerous 112233w; unless of course you are unaware of your protein intakes. I wouldn't do it. I like vege burgers but fish... I can't live without eating fish.
