The media is generally self-serving, as well as some journalists... unfortunately, the few who aren't rarely get recognition simply because they refuse to sensationalize...

Sometimes they are. But equally people give them a hard time. Journalism is very important and I respect it. Without it, most people wouldn't know much about the rest of the world or even about politics. And journalists risk their lives to keep the people informed. It's quite noble really. Of course, like anything, there's good and bad journalists. |

Also, true journalists aren't the ones spouting gossip and harrasing stars for the million dollar shot. True journalists are out there risking their careers and even their lives to keep the public informed. Without good journalism, democracy wouldn't work. |

I don't think so. Jounalists deserve a lot more credit than the public gives them. The media just tries to show that the journalists who are evil and corrupt are tiny irregularities in an otherwise respectable profession.

Tasdavil has really romanticized the idea of journalism. True, it's important, but to pretend like they're noble creatures risking their lives every day just because they're so dedicated to bringing the absolute truth to the poor, huddled masses... well, you know where I'm going with this.

no orginization wants something they can't be proud of, if it's on TV, of course they get make up and stuff. If it's for a news column, of course they're slightly gramouized and assume worth At least there's some journalist in Iraq complaining about being pushed around or censured, they kinda tryin to do an admirable job.. i guess |
