How bored/drunk were you when you made this question?
16 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Thursday 6/2/05 - 3:51:13 PM EST (GMT-5)
Agreed. Although if you're lazy you could always pronounce it 'wuh'

I was actually pretty drunk!

I've always thought of that. Why does W get three sylables.
16 yrs ago, 4 mos ago - Monday 6/6/05 - 10:38:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
well theres also those who give it two. "Dubya" seems quite popular among southern United States people

Who cares?

Its the king of letters.

Uhhh I guess it's unfair, but maybe in the favor of other letters. I mean, if I were a W, I wouldn't want people calling me double-U when most people write W's as double-V's. And also, people might dislike W because it takes so long to pronounce.

It's Bush's fault...
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Friday 6/17/05 - 12:45:55 PM EST (GMT-5)
thats a really cool question
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Monday 6/20/05 - 12:12:11 AM EST (GMT-5)
No, that's not fair at all!
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Monday 6/20/05 - 12:13:16 AM EST (GMT-5)
You know this very thing upsets me so much that it typically keeps me up for hours at a time each and every night. Quite disturbing and downright wrong. I believe we should start a coalition against this prejudice.

What really has always bothered me about "W" is that it has an actual word (double) inside of the name. No other letter has that. For example, C is pronounced "see," not "half oh." Wow... I am not making much sense, am I?
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 6/22/05 - 1:16:40 PM EST (GMT-5)
What isn't fair is to call it a double-u when obviously it should be double-v.

HaHa!

And no it isnt fair!

16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 6/22/05 - 1:20:26 PM EST (GMT-5)
But I use both u's and v's. I use v's for capital W's and I use u's for lowercase w's
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 6/22/05 - 1:23:06 PM EST (GMT-5)
but then you're actually writing a lower-case gamma, celebrian!

I think W gets special treatment because, really, it's a pathetic letter. It isn't very common, and it doesn't have any coolness factor. I mean, sure Z and Y and X and Q are rare as well, but they are rare in a cool way. Who would ever choose 'W' as a symbol? It's not common enough to be powerful, but it's also not awesome enough to gain notoriety. Poor thing deserves SOME kind of recognition.

Is it really fair to have such a retarded question?
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Friday 6/24/05 - 12:12:28 PM EST (GMT-5)
I used to think about that as a child. How old are you?
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Thursday 6/30/05 - 11:43:31 AM EST (GMT-5)
"W" is special. I always thought it was funny to sing the alphabet with lots of one syllable letters... then "W."
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 7/6/05 - 5:25:21 PM EST (GMT-5)
Why? Who cares? Does it really matter?
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 7/6/05 - 5:30:08 PM EST (GMT-5)
Stupid.
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Sunday 7/10/05 - 9:13:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
What kind of stupid question is this???
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 7/16/05 - 8:09:09 PM EST (GMT-5)
umm, Who cares?
16 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 7/16/05 - 8:11:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
Well, here in Tennessee, it only gets two, sounds kind of like dubyuh...
