16 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Saturday 6/18/05 - 9:28:09 PM EST (GMT-5)
No way. I chose not to have children, but if I did, I would want them to decide their own path, not have it pre-determined for them. You develop more character that way.
16 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Saturday 6/18/05 - 11:01:19 PM EST (GMT-5)

16 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Friday 8/5/05 - 6:49:54 AM EST (GMT-5)
Of course not, I want my child/ children to take up whatever profession they desire. If they want my profession, or their mother's profession, or their uncle's or whatever, I don't mind as long as they are happy in their job.

Of course I want them to be successful and rich and famous and all that, but in the long run, it's not important at all.

16 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Friday 8/12/05 - 10:00:30 PM EST (GMT-5)

I would if you mean that the child would eventually choose it him/herself. If thats what you mean then yes, I'd go ahead and put doctor on the birth certificate.
16 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 8/21/05 - 11:00:36 PM EST (GMT-5)
no, thats not fair.
16 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Thursday 12/15/05 - 2:54:19 PM EST (GMT-5)
This is like the whole concept of 'fate'.
Those who beleive in fate will choose a pre-detemined life, whereas those who don't will let their child have there own free choice of how they want to live.
16 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Thursday 12/15/05 - 2:54:34 PM EST (GMT-5)
No. I wouldn't want to make major decisions in their life like that. I would just hope that they would be happy in whatever they chose.
