Rather interesting idea ... I don't see any harm in them, so I see no need to not use them, especially if it means you could be protecting the welfare of that child.

Good idea... but I'd hope search warrants would be based on more than just a second-hand smell test.

What? Never heard of this..I guess it's a good idea, but if meth smells like cat piss, what if they just have a lot of cats? Couldn't they get into trouble for assuming they live in a meth lab?

Guess they could ask the kid if mommy or daddy ever tokes it up....a yes might be sure sign that they're livin' in a drug house.

they shouldn't sniff the children... but if they know the child has a meth like smell, it makes some sense.

I'm a huge advocate of making all drugs legal but manufacturing meth at home is so dangerous and unhealthy. No body should do it. Meth should be procuced in plant where it can be made safely and produce a product that is pure.

If they're being brought up in a drug house, chances are they aren't the best of looked after kids, and maybe the teachers should recognise where a child may be getting neglected or seems withdrawn, and the authorities can take over from there.

"Everybody's probably smelled marijuana or heard it," Heard it? What exactly does marijuana sound like...? Here's my question, though, if it smells like cat urine, how can they tell the difference between a kid from a house where meth is being produced and a kid from a house with a lot of cats? Though, I suppose if they smelled like cat urine the cats aren't being taken care of properly anyway so they're probably breaking some law at any rate...
