can you get an overdraft of DNA ?

What happens when you cash a DNA check?

Do they charge late fees?

The government work for the people - kick them out! Who the hell do they think they are?

No, DNA may be unique for everyone (apart from twins) but they only look for a few points, which are not unique, there was a case of a paralised man getting arrested for a burglery on a top floor flat (breaking in through the window) because he had simular DNA to the person who did it, (his DNA was on record for a crime many years previously)

Absolutely.
We have the technlogy available, not only to solve crimes more efficiently, but also to exhonorate those wrongly convicted. Why not use it?

Sure. So long as they only take the DNA of convicted criminals. I sure as hell don't want them having my DNA on file. I even faked it in my military medical record, saying they had it when in fact I never sent it in.

Sounds like a good idea.
Maybe.

Anyone convicted of a violent crime should have its DNA sampled, only if it's to make it available to all levels of law enforcement in the country.

the competition between the different levels of law enforcement is way too high.

And DNA sampling the population, no: too Orwellish and too expensive.

Most convicted criminals already have DNA on file (serious crimes), which makes me think that this prposition would be directed at the rest of us, not the dangerous criminals. I agree, Big Brother, creepy.

But then more faith lies in the government, and if a mix-up of the lab results or anything were to ever occur, it could be a drastic nightmare for the occused who might be innocent
