Faulty cloning procedures will result in 8 lives. I tested it, and it got messy having to kill the cats so many times.

17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 4/4/05 - 9:20:44 PM EST (GMT-5)
why don't I kill my cat and find out! ... what? it's dead? I guess it doesn't have 9 lives afterall.

Heheh, I know this is a really great question. It's just, oh no! sadly, cat's only have one life.
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Wednesday 4/6/05 - 10:33:16 PM EST (GMT-5)
Ha Ha, very creative. But saldy cats have only one life. And besides, if they shared the nine lives, they'd either have 4.5 lives or one would have one more than the other.

its cool huh, but how would it affect this question?
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Thursday 4/7/05 - 1:13:34 AM EST (GMT-5)
i don't believe cats have nine lives. i hate cats they're evil. actually because of that i wouldnt be surprised if they really did have nine lives....
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Thursday 4/7/05 - 1:14:50 AM EST (GMT-5)
yes but have you ever heard of schroedingers cat?
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Thursday 4/7/05 - 3:44:54 AM EST (GMT-5)
I think that however many lives the cat had left at the time of DNA extraction is how many each clone cat would get.
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Thursday 4/7/05 - 5:45:28 AM EST (GMT-5)
Why would anyone want to clone a cat?
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Thursday 4/7/05 - 3:01:57 PM EST (GMT-5)
Personally I think the practice of cloning cats is ridiculous. Cats are possibly the most useless animals on the planet besides slugs. At least you can pour salt on the slugs and watch them melt.

I think it was just meant as a joke folks ...
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Thursday 4/7/05 - 8:57:37 PM EST (GMT-5)
own set of nine.
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Thursday 4/7/05 - 9:11:56 PM EST (GMT-5)
Would this mean that it would be inherently impossible to clone a cat more than 8 times without killing them all?
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Friday 4/8/05 - 1:38:58 PM EST (GMT-5)
own set, but think of this if you cloned yourself, then killed your clone would it be murder or suicide?
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Friday 4/8/05 - 5:14:14 PM EST (GMT-5)
own set, but that's an interesting question orphan scion asked. I would thinkmit's a combination of the two, because although your clone is technically you, there are another person.

Own set of 9 lives...
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Saturday 4/9/05 - 5:47:28 AM EST (GMT-5)
Well, from the sheep cloning thing, didn't they find that the offspring would rapidly age to the biological age of the genetic parent? So, the new cat would have as many lives left as the cat it was cloned from.
