Faulty cloning procedures will result in 8 lives. I tested it, and it got messy having to kill the cats so many times.

Ha Ha, very creative. But saldy cats have only one life. And besides, if they shared the nine lives, they'd either have 4.5 lives or one would have one more than the other.

I think that however many lives the cat had left at the time of DNA extraction is how many each clone cat would get.

Personally I think the practice of cloning cats is ridiculous. Cats are possibly the most useless animals on the planet besides slugs. At least you can pour salt on the slugs and watch them melt.

Would this mean that it would be inherently impossible to clone a cat more than 8 times without killing them all?

own set, but think of this if you cloned yourself, then killed your clone would it be murder or suicide?

own set, but that's an interesting question orphan scion asked. I would thinkmit's a combination of the two, because although your clone is technically you, there are another person.

Well, from the sheep cloning thing, didn't they find that the offspring would rapidly age to the biological age of the genetic parent? So, the new cat would have as many lives left as the cat it was cloned from.
