Should this little boy who burned off a cancer victim`s newly regrown hair have gotten more of a punishment than this? A playground yob who set fire to a schoolgirl cancer victim`s hair was yesterday ordered to pay her £200 compensation. The girl of 11 ran screaming to staff after the 14-year-old boy lit her hair, which had grown back after chemotherapy, with a cigarette lighter. The girl, who had just returned to school after battling her illness, beat out the fire with her hands but her hair was badly singed. The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, admitted causing actual bodily harm. The boy was ordered to attend sessions with a youth offending team. I'm usually not for "eye for an eye" type stuff, but having him shave his head (or, if that wouldn't embarrass him, make him wear something stupid) would definitely teach him how he made this girl feel.
