No special effects make the movie better but usually only if its an action or horror movie

Only when the movie is only made to show of the special effects....or when the wrong color of blood is chosen....again! When will they ever learn...only Klingon blood is purplepink and no blood is pure red! Especially not opaque red! An easy recipe for fake blood: -red beetroot juice -instant coffee powder Mix these two. Put on fake wounds or take a gulp without swallowing for gorey effects that'll stun even the biggest veteran.

If they are overdone. Too much special effects give me a headache. Some can even be blinding!

Not usually, but occasionally it does happen.

I think it does. They re-did Carrie and the special effects made the movie suck. I prefer the original as with Psycho, the first one the used chocolate syrup as the blood and stabbed grapefruits so it so far from any time of special effect and it turned out great. But yea that's just my opinion.

lets put it this way, if you can tell there like super fake then yes but most of the time it just makes the movie more realistic.
