We created the vehicle, we showed the world what automotive luxury was all about. Of course the Caddy will prevail and bring America home another Golden Ticket.

They are off to a good start, but it will take a long time to change GM's image of being a cheap alternative with a bunch of unnecessary gizmos.

Not Mercedes Benz. Maybe the rest, though.

Most so-called luxury cars are crap, except for a red convertable BMW! (sigh) I guess if the Cadillac was in the competitive price range vs competitive extras, I don't see why it wouldn't keep pace with the others. How is it mechanically?

There's something vaguely vulgar about the Cadillac that won't appeal to an international market.

I wouldn't buy one personally. Elby is right in that they are ugly. Plus the European car market is already packed and highly competitive.

No, your cars suck. Their fuel economy is a joke (even on small cars) and they can't corner worth sh*t. Add to that the fact that the average American car is a good deal larger than the average European car (hence the crappy mpg) and you're onto a loser. Oh yeah, they're slow as well. 55mph speed limit? Bunch o' pussies.

No. They re too big for europe and asia. And in canada, they can't compete against Volvo or BMW.

The car itself is plenty strong enough, the image of Cadillac isn't. I doubt that any American car can compete outside the states... we import theirs, to my knoledge, we don't export many of ours. (Feel free to correct me if you are from outside the states and KNOW for a FACT I'm wrong, die-hard "buy American" rednecks that just want to tell me how stupid I am, nlmmln shut up.)
