Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Seymour Hersh has reported that the United States had been 'conducting secret reconnaissance missions inside Iran' to find nuclear, chemical and missile targets. Hersh, who broke the story about the Abu Ghraib prisoner torture in Iraq, wrote that he had repeatedly been told by intelligence and military officials on condition of anonymity that 'the next strategic target was Iran.'

Bush should invade France. Just for the heck of it. :)
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 1/26/05 - 5:02:43 PM EST (GMT-5)
It would probably be easier than invading Iran
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 1/26/05 - 7:37:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
No. I would only support the measure if Iran was planning on using them against others.
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 1/26/05 - 7:44:28 PM EST (GMT-5)
bush is an idiot hilbilly
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Friday 1/28/05 - 4:16:44 PM EST (GMT-5)
I would support Bush in whatever he decides to do. If Iran is making bombs then we will probably be the first to be attacked. If we don't do something about it now then we probably deserve it. Just like Iraq, if nothing was done about it, they would of attacked us. Hell, the insurgents are killing more Iraqies than we are. They are killing their own people. I think that they are sick mentally. They don't want peace because they never have had peace. They don't knpw what it feels like to be free. They have been under oppresion for so long, they don't know the difference. We need to pray for them as well as Israel and Packastan. Maybe that is what God is waiting for us to do.

^^^

For Christ's sake, Jarhead. How tight does puppet master Dubya have the strings on you?

reaslimshady, that's a very enlightened post. About what I'd expect from someone who's s.n. is taken from eminem.

I actually just tried to ask a similar question. Yes, an attack on Iran would be fully justified. The whole time we've been in Iraq, people have been saying that Iran is in fact the bigger threat. Well, now's the time to take that threat out.

17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/2/05 - 10:56:00 PM EST (GMT-5)
Of course. Only we can have nuclear weapons, and that's that!
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/2/05 - 10:58:27 PM EST (GMT-5)
I would only support it if Iran becomes an actual threat to the world's security and if multiple nations, not just the US, are also supporting an invasion of Iran.
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/2/05 - 10:59:08 PM EST (GMT-5)
That's smart. Go in head first and invade a country with nukes.

Here's a novel concept: Diplomacy

17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/2/05 - 11:04:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
...and if diplomacy fails.
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/2/05 - 11:06:38 PM EST (GMT-5)
If diplomacy fails isn't part of the question

However, if diplomacy fails I'd prefer to see whatever military action we take be better organized and planned than Iraq.

17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Tuesday 2/8/05 - 1:09:00 AM EST (GMT-5)
i don't think diplomacy will fail. think about where the US millitary is right now and where Iran is....
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 4:54:08 PM EST (GMT-5)
Well since, according to cnn, rice is now threatening Iran... what a bad idea, can't we just mind our own country's business for once?(US)I would not support bush, especially since he was wrong about W of MD in Iraq.
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 5:14:38 PM EST (GMT-5)
Of course not, first it was Afganistan, then Irak, now Iran...And after Iran, which country is going to be the next? It has to be stopped.
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 5:17:56 PM EST (GMT-5)
And we still haven't found Osama, what's the deal? It's just one man!? I smell major conspiracy there...
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 5:34:01 PM EST (GMT-5)
And Bush doesn´t want peace over there, nor prevent an attack, he wants the oil
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 9:54:58 PM EST (GMT-5)
why might he want oil? to fill up his swimming pool, or for the betterment of the country?
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 9:57:32 PM EST (GMT-5)
many people fail to understand that by involving ourselves in the middle east we are actually protecting ourselves. With weapons today like nukes and biological weapons, sometimes the best defense is a good offense, because we aren't going to defend agains weapons like that if we wait for them to come to us.
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 10:00:53 PM EST (GMT-5)
WE have nukes. And we're the only nation that's ever used them on someone else.

Why is it that we feel that it's OK for us to have nukes, but no one else?

17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 10:02:26 PM EST (GMT-5)
because we are responsable with them
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 10:05:07 PM EST (GMT-5)
If Bush invades one more country, I'm emmigrating.
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 10:06:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
We are? Not that I can tell.

Show me how other nations have been less responsible with their nukes than we have been with ours.

We're already investigating "bunker buster" nukes - we've not only used them, but we're planning to develope another type so we can use them again.

17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 10:07:58 PM EST (GMT-5)
does it matter who gives the order or do you just have something against bush? if in 4 years the next president was forced to invade another country, would you still leave?
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/9/05 - 10:10:18 PM EST (GMT-5)
Iran is lead by an oil cash crazed dictator, and many of the people do not have their basic rights and have never actually tasted freedom. If Iran had nukes, do you think that that would be alright with the world?
