If you had a sexual predator living in your neighborhood, would you try to make a plan with your other neighbors, to get them to leave the area?

Probably not. But everyone feels differently about this subject, and of course it depends how close you are as a neighbourhood.

I would, who in their right minds would want a sexual predator living in thier neighborhood.

I would be much more cautious and on guard, but would I try to make it impossible for someone who had served their sentence and was legally released from prison to live his or her life? No.

I think being shunned from society makes it MUCH easier for a criminal to regress into past behavior.

Why the hell would a predator be living in my neighborhood? If he was still dangerous after being released from prison I would call the cops, otherwise I woudlnt' discriminate against him to the point of beings shunned, for the reasons unhailey stated.

hmmm probably not if it didnt directly effect me!!
17 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Monday 2/7/05 - 6:07:08 PM EST (GMT-5)
Pocket is right, call the cops...and if he used to be one, I agree with unhailey. Although there are actually alot of sexual predators where I really live (boarding school)...as long as there is some form or protection.

It doesn't matter to me know i don't have any kids, and I'm not afraid of a molesting freak.

I think it would depend on what the "sexual predator" has done? Unless I'm mistaken, legally, an 18 year old who sleeps with a 16 year old is a sexual predator. I think that's just lame. But now, if you're talking about some adult who raped a 3 year old and he's moving across the street from the neighborhood pre-school, then you're damn right I'm going to do what I can to get that mofo out of my neighborhood.

"Why the hell would a predator be living in my neighborhood"

There probably already are, and you just don't know it. They are allowed to live anywhere they want, except for within a certain number of feet from schools. Most states have lists and addresses online though, it's public record so you can see if some are in your area or not. I posted a link in the links section of that once but I can't find it now.

There's been something about that on the news lately. A peodophile that has served his time in jail and claims to be innocent is trying to settle into a new house, but has to keep moving because people keep yelling abuse and throwing rocks at him.

While I believe this guy is no longer a danger, I wouldn't want to take the risk.

There already was a sexual predator living in our neighborhood, we just didn't know it until it was too late.

If the guy had already served his time then I wouldn't shun him or anything, but I would definetly be more careful.

no, but I would make sure they were informed, adn I would also let the predator know we were informed.

Yes, I would mainly because I have sisters. I'd start sh*t with him too.

I agree with unhailey.

i say keep him in the neighbourhood. about six feet UNDER the neighbourhood. If you suggest mercy for a child abuser, I will ask you this; are you mental?
17 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Friday 2/25/05 - 10:34:42 AM EST (GMT-5)
I disagree with unhailey.

A sex offender is about 95% uncurable. No matter if he has done his time or not, they do not belong in society. I would be extra careful, and pray that when (not if) he strikes again, he is caught in the act and not after the fact.

There are sexual predators all over most neighborhoods. Seriously, check your local police registry. It's hard to escape them.

I just went on my Megan's Law website and found many many sex offenders living in my town....there's nothing you can really do about it though. I mean, I live in a pretty small town and there are over 100.

i do... the counsil moved a rapist (i think he also dabbled in paedophilia) into the flats near my house... where oddly they also move all the single parent families? explain why that was a good move?

Ad-hoc plan for pedophile removal:
First of all the car would be burnt out.
Failing that, torch the home, although not to such an extent to lower house prices in the area, or threaten life. (Although his presence would have already ensured that.)
If the c*nt doesn't get the message by then, then a more direct approach may be needed.

Sorry, but my neighbourhood has a lot of young families, and the children play freely. Getting rid of the threat would be the only way to ensure relative safety.
