I think so because that just proves that you don't have anything intelligent to say.

But, name-calling is so fun!

17 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Saturday 11/13/04 - 3:32:12 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, because that usually means that they don't have a valid argument and that they've already been proven wrong.

17 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Monday 12/20/04 - 11:58:30 AM EST (GMT-5)
It depends on the argument. I think if someone is going to resort to name calling then it's because their side of the dbate is not strong enough, and they can't back it up.

If it's an argument no but a debate is more formal and name calling and personal attacks should be left out of it
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Tuesday 3/29/05 - 11:03:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes because they ran out of answers and are desperately trying to win.
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Tuesday 3/29/05 - 11:32:34 PM EST (GMT-5)

17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Monday 4/4/05 - 2:29:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
ad hominems are annoying, but could just be from the contestant becoming too worked up. it doesn't make you the loser
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Monday 4/4/05 - 2:44:13 PM EST (GMT-5)
Doesn't mean you're losing the argument, it just means you're stupid.
