(10-14) 13:38 PDT NEW YORK (AP) -- Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly made a TV talk show appearance on what he said was 'the worst day of my life' Thursday, vowing to fight sexual harassment charges by one of his producers. Accuser Andrea Mackris spoke publicly for the first time, saying she felt threatened by her former boss, who filed a lawsuit charging the woman and her lawyer with extortion.

Mackris, 33, said O'Reilly made a series of sexually explicit phone calls to her. Mackris, an associate producer on Fox News Channel's top-rated 'The O'Reilly Factor,' said he advised her to use a vibrator, told her about sexual fantasies involving her and engaged in unwanted phone sex.

If they are true I weep for this woman, *shudder*.

He might have done it, but it was definitely consensual...if not, why in the hell did she leave to go work for CNN, then come back to O'Reilly's show?

I don't know who he is, but the whole story sounds a bit dodgy to ne!

I think he's guilty of doing it, just not that it has any merit as a case. She went up to his room several times after she was aurally 'assaulted', and back to work not only for Fox news, but for him.

That sort of thing is totally inapropriate even if it was outside of the workplace.

As much as I can't stand him, I don't think he did this. He has way too much to lose. He fired back so fast with a countersuit saying that she and her lawyers threatened $60 million in extortion. That's not something that you just come up with. Also, where are these recorded phone calls of all this that she's holding against him? Eh, who knows? He's an annoying, pompous ass and all, but I think he's innocent. Her story doesn't jive.

Hmm....I had a gut feeling he didn't do it either. But why did he settle then?

"engaged in unwanted phone sex"
hahahahha

How exactly can a person phone-rape you?

Kiki-I wondered that too.

Well I don't think Michael Jackson ever molested any kids either, and he settled once too, maybe he did it just so he didn't have to deal with it or something.

Certainly settling is as good as an admission of guilt, no?

if he setteled than he was obviously hiding something
17 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Monday 11/15/04 - 3:21:52 PM EST (GMT-5)
I dont know if he did it or not but I would open up a bottle of Korbel's if he left the air.

When you are famous and everyone wants a piece of your hide or life or hair or being, its sometimes a heckuva lot easier for a celebrity-type to (without admitting guilt or innocence) 'settle' just so that the people will leave them alone. Its most infamous amongst movie stars, but can happen to anyone in a headline.

The man is a psycho. He did it. He settle because they had a case.
