I honestly don't think there's any validity at all.

The only validity is that the man feels me must make more to compensate.

There's a difference between "valid" and "sound." These results are valid but meaningless. Here's a VALID argument that is NOT sound: "Assume Tony Blair has pink hair. Pink-haired people own Pop Tart factories. Therefore, Tony Blair owns a Pop Tart factory." This study may demonstrate some kind of correlation, but it doesn't really present anything meaningful or sound.

I wish I owned a pop tart factory. I'd even dye my hair pink for one.

My boyfriend is 5'6. I'm 5'11. He loves his money, but he loved it before me as well. Now that we're dating he isn't trying to make more.

Heh, you just know that this was the same research team that decided to grow an ear on a mouse's back. Out of curiosity, who cares enough to fund research like this? Really?

^My thoughts exactly. Then again, it's not like there are REAL problems they could be studying; say, curing cancer or AIDS... Nope. Height & money correlations in celebrity relationships are of utmost importance!
