Bush lied so he could invade Iraq. he wanred his Daddy he was the tougher man. So sad that these unresolved father son issues led to so much death and destruction.

He intentionally lied and misled the public. Yes, he had bad intelligence, but that's kind of his job to make sure that everything makes up.

matches* up, not makes up.

A) I don't think we invaded Iraq only becasue of WMD. It was more than clear that this was only one of many reasons at the time. In fact, only in the media do I remember even reading about WMDs prior to the invasion. From the speeches made by the Bush camp, I remember a lot more about the axis of evil and the spread of terror.
B) Every intellegence agency in the world thought there were WMDs. Even the Dofour (sp) report says that the whole plan of bribing the French and Russian governments was to restart the WMD programs while delaying action in the UN. So obviously we struck at the perfect time: before the WMDs could be used on attacking troops.
C) If you're going to accuse anyone, particularly a sitting president of something as hieneous going to war for personal reasons, you should at least attempt to provide some proof. Otherwise, it just sounds like sour grapes.

Not every intelligence agency (ref "The Bulletin" May 11, 2004. I don't have access to his shrink"s notes but I bet they make interesting reading.

17 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 10/19/04 - 2:48:56 AM EST (GMT-5)
I think he lied. He was pretty intent on going to war even before he got in office.
17 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 10/19/04 - 2:50:02 AM EST (GMT-5)
i know he lied he didn't give a crap about weapons of mass distructions, he probley thought there would be a little of someting but it was funny that there wasn't anything lol
17 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 10/19/04 - 11:55:37 AM EST (GMT-5)
I think he really thought in his heart that there were weapons there - I don't think he's smart enough to think up a lie
17 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Sunday 11/7/04 - 7:15:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
well maybe he found a bit of evidence i think they said it was one document, and he just needed like a sign from god for him to do it, so he didnt take the time to look further into it. he didnt lie per se, but he could have prevented the misunderstand
17 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Monday 11/8/04 - 9:59:06 PM EST (GMT-5)
yes, I believe he thought there were WMD. And we can't stop believing there aren't.
17 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Monday 11/8/04 - 10:14:29 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think he basically took a gamble, he believed that there were WMDs there, but he lied about how certain he was. Either that or someone lied to him about how certain he should be.
17 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Monday 11/8/04 - 10:17:01 PM EST (GMT-5)
He thought there were WMD's.
17 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Monday 11/15/04 - 11:03:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
He didn't lie at all. If you really stop and think, really stop and think, there were WMD's. Its all how you define MASS. In the dictionary it is defined as undefined amount. What is a mass to one is not to another. I really believe that there were WMD's.
17 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Tuesday 11/16/04 - 12:58:20 PM EST (GMT-5)
Liar, Liar, pants on fire. His motivations had nothing to do with WMD and he was just using that excuse to mislead the american public which obviously worked quite well
17 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Tuesday 11/16/04 - 1:00:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
His info was incorrect, bottom line.
17 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Tuesday 11/16/04 - 1:00:28 PM EST (GMT-5)
Given the info that the CIA fed him, anyone would've thought it. The troops shouldn't however be there. This could've been taken care of much quicker and easier with napalm.
17 yrs ago, 5 mos ago - Saturday 12/4/04 - 9:35:16 PM EST (GMT-5)
oh i think he definetly believed that there were really "weapons of mass destruction" but he was too impatient to wait for evidence and completly jumped the gun

17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Sunday 3/27/05 - 1:55:08 AM EST (GMT-5)
He believed that there were weapons of mass destructions, and it's still possible that there were. He never intended to "lie."
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Sunday 3/27/05 - 1:57:14 AM EST (GMT-5)
NO!!! He started all of that because they 'threatened his daddy'
17 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 3/31/05 - 1:03:55 PM EST (GMT-5)
Who said they still aren't there yet? Its a big area, lots of sand to hide them and we gave him 48 hours to finish hiding them. We did find a fighter jet hidden in the sand so bombs wouldn't be hard.

I just wanted him to take out Saddam anyways regardless of WMD's.
